What causes heart disease part 52 | Dr. Malcolm Kendrick

Why does LDL getting in the artery wall from the blood, that is streaming through the artery, cause damage, when the LDL getting in the artery wall (and vein walls) from the vasa vasorum does no harm? It rises very high since there are fewer LDL receptors on cells, so the LDL stays trapped in the blood stream. Somewhat paradoxically, FH supplies effective proof that the LDL/cholesterol hypothesis should be wrong, since it proves that LDL can not go into cells unless the cell has an LDL receptor.
